The trust ladder

Agents only become more autonomous once they've proven themselves.

Autonomy is earned, not switched on. Every agent climbs the same three rungs.

  1. 1Level 1 — Proposes. The agent drafts every email and reply; you approve each one.
  2. 2Level 2 — Semi-autonomous. It sends outreach on its own; you still approve replies to leads.
  3. 3Level 3 — Fully autonomous. It handles everything within your limits. Deliberately locked for now.

After enough approvals with nothing skipped, the agent suggests stepping up a rung — you decide whether to grant it.

Irreversible or outward-facing actions always require your approval until you explicitly raise the level. We never jump straight to fully automatic.
