How to get it
Twilio
- 1Sign in at twilio.com/console.
- 2Your Account SID and Auth Token are on the dashboard.
- 3Paste them here joined by a colon: ACCOUNT_SID:AUTH_TOKEN.
- 4Then add your sending number in the "Twilio from number" field below.
Twilio from number
- 1In the Twilio console, open Phone Numbers → Manage → Active numbers.
- 2Copy the number you want to send SMS from (E.164, e.g. +3197010203040).
- 3Paste it here — without it an SMS send fails with an honest no_sender.
Twilio WhatsApp number
- 1Only needed for WhatsApp via Twilio (skip if you use Meta's Cloud API above).
- 2In Twilio, set up the WhatsApp sender (Messaging → Senders → WhatsApp).
- 3Paste the WhatsApp-enabled number here (E.164); falls back to your SMS number.
What it can't do on its own
Your key is stored encrypted, per user, and read server-side only — just in time, for one action. It never reaches the browser and never reaches a model.
Anything outward-facing — sending, publishing, paying, changing an order — waits for your approval, and that gate lives on the server. Refusals land in the same append-only audit trail as the things that went through.
