Etsy keystring
Your Etsy app's keystring (client ID) — Etsy uses PKCE, no secret needed.
Keystring
How to get it
Etsy
- 1Create an app at etsy.com/developers (a personal app is fine) and copy its keystring.
- 2Paste the keystring under “OAuth apps” below as “Etsy keystring”, and add the redirect URI Etsy asks for (shown under Connect via OAuth).
- 3Then click Connect next to Etsy in the OAuth section — the token lands here automatically.
- 4Heads-up: new Etsy apps start in a review queue; personal-access apps usually work right away.
Etsy keystring
- 1The keystring of your Etsy app (etsy.com/developers → your app).
- 2Etsy uses PKCE — there is no client secret to paste.
What it can't do on its own
Your key is stored encrypted, per user, and read server-side only — just in time, for one action. It never reaches the browser and never reaches a model.
Anything outward-facing — sending, publishing, paying, changing an order — waits for your approval, and that gate lives on the server. Refusals land in the same append-only audit trail as the things that went through.
